How the effect works
Upside-down text uses a limited set of Unicode characters that resemble rotated Latin letters and punctuation. The order is reversed because rotating a line also swaps left and right. Characters without a useful matching are kept or approximated.

Why is the text reversed as well as flipped?
When you rotate a written line by 180 degrees, its left-to-right order also changes. Reversing the sequence makes the visual effect more convincing.
Can every character be turned upside down?
No. Unicode doesn't include a perfect rotated counterpart for every character, so the tool uses recognised lookalikes where possible.
Is this an image?
No. The output is copyable Unicode text.
Why does it look different on another phone?
Different fonts and operating systems draw Unicode symbols differently, especially unusual mathematical or special letter characters.
