Upside-down text uses a limited set of Unicode characters that resemble rotated Latin letters and punctuation. The order is reversed because rotating a line also swaps left and right. Characters without a useful equivalent are kept or approximated.

Why is the text reversed as well as flipped?
When you rotate a written line by 180 degrees, its left-to-right order also changes. Reversing the sequence makes the visual effect more convincing.
Can every character be turned upside down?
No. Unicode does not include a perfect rotated counterpart for every character, so the tool uses recognised lookalikes where possible.
Is this an image?
No. The output is copyable Unicode text.
