Change your text or see what is inside it

Why focused tools

Useful tools beat hundreds of pointless styles

Use a Unicode converter when you want a different alphabet style. Reverse tools flip the order. Glitch text adds extra marks. Invisible text adds hidden characters. The inspector shows you exactly which characters are inside a piece of text.

Those are different problems. Keeping them separate makes the controls clearer and lets each page explain the limitations that matter for that particular change.

Know the trade-offs

Fancy text is still data

What you see and what an app stores are not always the same thing.

Many “font generator” results are actually separate Unicode Unicode codes. That is why the style can survive copy and paste into a plain text box. It is also why search, character limits, usernames and screen readers and other accessibility tools may treat the result differently from ordinary letters.

Some effects add extra marks to normal letters, such as underlines, strikethroughs or glitch marks. Invisible-text tools use characters you cannot see. Reverse and mirror tools change the order or swap letters for lookalikes.

For decorative names, captions and short labels, those behaviours can be useful. For essential instructions, legal text, passwords, accessibility labels or anything someone must type exactly, ordinary characters are the safer choice.

Test it where you will actually use it

A valid Unicode result can still be rejected by an app.

Username boxes are often stricter than bios; games can allow a character one month and filter it the next; a device can lack a character that another device displays perfectly.

Copy a short test into the exact box before building an identity around it.

Use the inspector if copied text acts strangely

If pasted text refuses to match, wrap or delete normally, the Unicode Character Inspector shows what is underneath. It is especially useful after copying from PDFs, social apps and generators because blank-looking or combining characters can be easy to miss.
